Adding People to a Family Membership During the Billing Cycle

If you’d like to add additional members to an existing family membership, there are a few important details to be aware of depending on where you are in your current billing cycle.

Adding Members Mid-Cycle

You can add people to your family membership at any time. However, because your current membership is already in progress, any new members must align with both the remaining time on your current plan and the upcoming renewal period.

How Payment Works

To ensure fairness and consistency across all memberships:

New members will pay a prorated amount covering the remaining time left on your current family membership.

In addition, an upfront payment is required for the next full billing cycle (i.e., your upcoming renewal period).

This means:

If you have, for example, 3 months remaining on your current membership, new members will:

Pay for those 3 remaining months, and

Prepay for the next full family membership period.

Why This Approach Is Used

This structure ensures that:

•  All members are aligned under the same billing cycle.
•  The integrity of the family membership pricing is maintained.
•  New members are committing beyond just the short remaining period of the current plan.

Credits & Adjustments

In some cases, credits may be applied to help smooth the transition when adding members mid-cycle. These are handled on a case-by-case basis.
